Children's Advocacy Centers were established in an effort to enhance the sensitivity and responsiveness of our criminal and civil justice systems, thereby minimizing the impact of the trauma, providing vital medical and mental health services for these children and their families and facilitating the prosecution of perpetrators. The Children's Advocacy
Center (CAC) of Anderson and Cherokee Counties coordinates the
efforts of a multidisciplinary team of professionals consisting
of law enforcement investigators, prosecutors, child protective
service workers, and medical and mental health professionals
who collaborate to: Each child who is interviewed at the CAC is given a teddy bear to take home. o We need you to
donate a new stuffed teddy bear. |
